Bad Breath / Halitosis | | Description |
Bad breath, or halitosis, may be a sign of illness - for
example, lung disease or sinusitis, and a person with diabetes may
have breath tainted with acetone if his sugar metabolism is poorly
controlled. Usually, however, halitosis is caused by smoking, drinking
alcohol, eating certain foods (garlic or onions) or inadequate oral and
dental hygiene.
